Linda Kartoz-Doochin, a classically trained musician, composes and sings spiritually uplifting songs and music. A student of renowned vocal coach, Phoebe Binkley, Linda has written with Karen Taylor-Good and the late Jack Keller. Her music is featured on the cd, Jewish Songwriters of Nashville.

Linda received a BA in Psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business. During a 20 year career in business, she was recognized in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Industry and Finance, and honored for her leadership in the National Society of Plastic Engineers. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the Nashville Public Education Foundation, and has served on numerous Boards of Directors including the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, the Jewish Community Center, the YWCA of Nashville, the YWCA Shelter and Domestic Violence Program, and the Oasis Center.  She is a past president of the Center for Jewish Awareness and the Harvard Club of Tennessee. An aspiring author, she is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers.  Linda and husband, Michael Doochin, are holistic energy healers and Certified Healing Touch Practitioners. Her music incorporates the essence of healing energy.  

Personal Statement: In composing the Miracles of Hanukah, I hope to offer thoughtful, original, contemporary Hanukah songs which celebrate the light and joy of the holiday and share the richness and wisdom of Jewish traditions.   – LKD
